Welcome and Introduction – Rob CEO, The Packaging Forum

Lisa Eve - Eunomia Research and Consulting
Eunomia was commissioned by the Ministry for Environment in 2018 to analyse the impact of China’s National Sword policies on the recycling sector, which concluded fibre (paper and cardboard) waste was a particularly high risk market.  As a follow up project, last year Eunomia carried out a detailed analysis of the fibre sector in New Zealand, and made recommendations to address issues and increase the resilience of the sector. Lisa will present the outcomes of the research, and the key recommendations that have implications for packaging; she will also touch on relevant aspects of the national infrastructure review Eunomia is currently completing.
Kim Renshaw - The Packaging Forum Compostable Packaging Technical Advisory Group

Dylan Firth - New Zealand Brewers Association

Rachael Allison - WOOP!
Sustainability has been on the menu at food box company WOOP! from its inception. Rachel will be telling us about the challenges and rewards of creating an in-house, multi-packaging materials takeback programme.
Shawn-Elise Tierney - Sustainable Coastlines
